Why reflectivity matters

Hypalon and other CSPE membranes were engineered decades ago, when a dark, heat-absorbing surface was simply what a containment liner looked like. That choice has a cost: dark surfaces run hotter in direct sun, and heat drives evaporation, accelerates surface oxidation, and adds stress to seams over the life of a cover.

Mirage starts from a different premise. Available in Cool Tan and White, its titanium-dioxide-pigmented surface reflects solar radiation the way a glacier does — keeping the water, and the membrane itself, running cooler for the life of the installation.

The result shows up everywhere it matters on a spec sheet: reflectivity, weathering resistance, chlorine resistance, and flexibility — not just color.
